Black Metalic Ink on Plike Paper

A series of six large prints in black ink on black paper and enshrouded in the blackness of the gallery space, featuring excerpts from poems published in Black liberation newsletters and papers such as Race Today and Black Voice and marked in the initials of the author. The words and indeed the entire series are only revealed when flashes of light erupt in the exhibition at a critical moment in John.

The prints were designed by the artist in collaboration with Delivered By Post.

The work was commissioned by Block 336 in partnership with Black Cultural Archives with support from Arts Council England, Elephant Trust, Lux, Spike Island, Black Thrive and Lambeth Mind.
